Remembering the 100th Anniversary of the U.S. entry into the First World War, local soldiers who served from Kane, Kendall and Will counties will be highlighted during this presentation by historian, genealogist, and Oswegoland Heritage Association Board Member Tina Beaird. Area men were drafted to serve in the U.S. military, and for the first time, women also went off to serve as nurses with the Red Cross and in many other capacities with the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-in registration at the door is welcome. Hosted by the Oswegoland Heritage Association. $5(R)/(N)
