Try-It Illinois, sponsored by the Illinois State Library, is available for 6 weeks each fall from October 1 to November 15. Hundreds of databases are available to try for free giving the family historian unprecedented access to databases spanning all fields from genealogy and history to business and science. A typical year includes access to sites like NewspaperArchive.com, Fold3, Historic Mapworks and so much more! Oswegoland Heritage Association board member Tina Beaird will walk you through how you can use these genealogy, and non-genealogy sites to trace your family tree. Pre-registration through the Oswegoland Park District using program #21192 is recommended however walk-ins will be welcome, space permitting.
